Hexagon Gardens

Hey all! So here's another fun little card I created using some of my new PTI stamps that I mentioned yesterday! I'm totally loving this stamp set, Cutting Garden! And I'm also loving having my Cuttlebug finally out of storage... can you believe that I stamped for nearly a year and a half without it?! Yea, me neither... needless to say, not all that much stamping was accomplished during that time...

Anyhoo, I'm also entering this in Moxie Fab's Happy for Hexagon's Challenge! I thought they'd be a fun little play on your standard leaves, die cutting them from hexagon paper. What do you think? I popped up the main panel and added a strip of the same hexagon paper on the far edge too. Enjoy!

Happy Wednesday all!
God bless-

Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

Hey folks! So I was blessed enough to win one of the comment prizes during PTI's anniversary fun earlier this month! Whohoo, right?! So you know what that means, right? Some PTI mail arrived at my doorstep a few days later, carrying my new goodies that I ordered! It's been nearly 2 years since I've gotten some lovely stamps from them, which is FAR too long!

So! Today is PTI's Monthly Blog Hop, and I created the last of my *ahem* Christmas thank-you cards. Totally behind the ball, I know. But better late than never, right?! Right. So, here ya go! A cute spring inspired thank-you card! The stamps, buttons, and paper are all PTI.

I seriously need to figure out some better evening lighting in my craft space. In person, there's much more contrast between the background stamps and the paper, and all the colors are much brighter :) Enjoy, all! I'll talk to ya soon.

God bless,
Shauna

I Just Love You, Timer Challenge

Hey all!

Well, for those of you who are Papertrey Ink fans, I'm sure you're well aware that they're celebrating 7 years this month! They always throw an amazing bash during their February release each year, and this year is no exception. Tonight I'm playing along with their Timer Challenge! The first part of the challenge is to grab 7 supplies in 7 minutes! Here was my time:
Plenty of time to spare... good thing to, because I ended up grabbing one additional supply while I was actually making my card! Shh, don't tell ;) The next part of the challenge was to make your card in under 17 minutes, and that's the second time there!

Supplies: (1) PTI freebie digi (2 & 3) brads (4 & 5) PTI papers (6) binder clip

Again, plenty of time to spare! Which was again good because I ended up doing one card, two ways! After I finished photographing my first card (see above), I decided to see how it would look with the sentiment panel popped up on foam (see below) instead of held on with the binder clip. What do you think? Which is your favorite? I can't decide :)

 Supplies: (1) PTI freebie digi (2 & 3) brads (4 & 5) PTI papers (6) foam dots

thanks a latte

hey all!
Crazy?! I'm back yet again!! I know- it's an awesome trend that I might just have to continue. Especially as I continue to unearth crafting supplies that I haven't seen in nearly 2 years! Ack! So much fun :) I'm also thinning out some of my stash while I go. Always a good thing- it's sad when craft supplies get neglected, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to donate some to a good cause so they get some lovin, or maybe I'll have to do a "welcome back to blogland" giveaway later this month, or maybe both!  hmm... now there's an idea! Stay tuned, and we'll see what happens ;)

Anyhoo, and on to today's card. I was inspired by Color Throwdown's colors for the week (which I might end up using for our daughter's new room here...!)- baked brown sugar, regal rose, and soft sky. This is what I came up with!

The inside has the sentiment "thanks a latte." The coffee stamps are by Verve- haven't used them in a while, and they're super fun! The swirls in the background are by PTI.

This awesome color challenge doesn't end until later today, so come join along!
God Bless-
