May 2012 Papertrey Blog Hop- You Rock

Hey all! So I got a little chance to craft whilst Little E was napping in the moby. My mojo was a bit off today, but I wanted to play along over at PTI's May Blog Hop! So here's what I came up with!!

The inspiration photo had lots of bold patterns and a chartreuse, white, and black color scheme. I don't have too many PTI stamps, yet, so I didn't have too much to work with for this challenge... I ended up using a background stamp to great an argyll-ish pattern. I liked how the inspiration photo had a bunch of layered dishes, so I made my own layers with a frame stamp, some simple paper bits and cut circles, and layered on top the sentiment. Add in a sprinkle of green and black gems and there ya go!

All of the stamps ("Grunge Me" and "Fillable Frames #10 mini")and papers are PTI. The gems are Michaels.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Today is my first mother's day- yay! Little E is almost 4 weeks old. DH has been very sweet today- picked me up some Starbucks (decaf!), some roses, and I have a new waffle iron coming in the mail! Oh yes, and he's currently taking care of E while I relax a bit :) Love our little family!

So here's a spring/summer wreath that I made last week. I added on the little "mom" banner that I whipped up just using some paper scraps, circle punch, alpha stickers, and Twinery twine. I like to be able to reuse my wreath bases, so the pinwheels and banner are attached with pins!

I also spruced up our mantle a bit for the occasion- super simple stuff since I don't have as much time to craft right now with baby and since some of my crafting stuff is already packed since we're moving to our next Army post in the coming week!

I made a super simple banner for the plant using scrap paper, an SU! punch, some Twinery twine, Memento inks, and a stamp from Unity's April KOM.

I also made some little pennants for the decorative branches using again some scrap papers, Twinery twine, circle punch, and stickers.

Well,  that's about it for now... have a fabulous Sunday and Mother's Day everyone :)

thanks FWF trio

Happy Friends with Flair Friday!! Little E is asleep in the moby wrap, which means mama got to do a little crafting. Woohoo! She's such a good baby- I so do love her :) Today was her first time in the moby, and she fell asleep within about a minute, so I think she must like the moby as much as I do ;) Anyways, I digress...

So I made a trio of cards using the Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge May sketch :) They're fairly straight forward- I used this cute sentiment from last month's KOM "heart and soul." I used some Creative Memories patterned paper, PTI cardstock & buttons & edge die, Memento ink, and Spellbinders circle die, along with other buttons and gems from my stash.

That's about it for today... gonna see if little one will sleep some more and let me work on Unity's NSD sketch!! Fun fun :)
