masculine birthday

So I'm pretty happy with the final outcome of this card, but it came about in a very scattered way. So I knew I wanted to do a masculine birthday card, because my inventory was scarce in the "masculine" department. So I got my general color palette together, but I wasn't quite sure where to go from there... I haven't played along with 2S4Y in a while, so I used Kazan's wonderful sketch 66... but I was still a bit stuck. To make a long story short(er), I ripped the grey paper, so I used the border punch to cover it up, the punched leaves were redone using about 3 different PP's before settling on this one, and the "birthday wishes" were originally supposed to be in straight lines, but I gave up and made them more random. In the end, it was a very layered version of the sketch, and I think it's a card my dad or brother would be happy to receive, so it's all good! :)

.:. materials .:. {PP} SU!, {ink} Stazon, {stamp} SU!, {embellies} Martha Stewart leaf punch, Recollections pearls, swirl diecut from swap, EK Success corner punch, SU! notebook edge punch

  2. Hi Shauna! That is a really sweet card. Masculine cards are always so hard for me (and lots of others) This one of yours is great! I love that you added some greenery too!
